Spent an incredible evening at the Michael D. Palm Theatre in Telluride listening to an incredible speaker, Dr. Amy Cuddy. Amy is the "author" of the second most watched TED Talk in history: "Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are." First aired in 2012, it has been watched by more than 44 million people worldwide.

Her recent book, Presence, was described by the New York Times Sunday Book Review as, “Presence feels at once concrete and inspiring, simple but ambitious–above all, truly powerful.”

Amy's talk last night was inspiring and truly powerful. She spoke to a nearly sold-out audience as a fundraiser for the Telluride Education Foundation (www.telluridewer1.com). Amy, a frequent visitor to Telluride, graciously donated her time and waived her customary speaker fee.

While the audience of nearly 600 enjoyed her show (I told Amy after the fact that there were very few cell phones out during her talk--I guess 44 million people can't be too wrong). I was privileged to spend time with Amy both before and after the show. When I went to the green room after her hour-long talk, we were approached by several young attendees. They were passionate in their enthusiasm for Amy's message and one young girl, perhaps 10 or 12 years old, spoke about how important Amy's message was to her personally, having been a victim of bullying several years before. Amy said later that the hug she received from this girl was "crushing."

Thank you Amy for your time, your presence and your wisdom.

Amy Cuddy, myself, and my wife Christine
